Our 11th Winter Challenge will take place from 12th -15th March in Switzerland, when Challengers will compete with, and against, our Veterans to win the coveted ‘George Brooksbank Challenge Cup'. This unique fundraising ski event is a great way to explore the Davos/Klosters ski area in the guise of a fun and competitive challenge. The Challenge is set by our Veterans and is designed to test strategy and cunning! Careful planning is likely to prove more rewarding than stamina, speed and ski ability. The Winter Challenge organisers ensure that able-bodied and disabled skiers compete on equal terms. You do not have to be of, or anywhere near, Olympics standard in order to take part, even if some of our veterans are!
As part of the Winter Challenge we also hold a 'Symposium’. This year’s panel includes General Sir Nick Carter, Lord (Michael) Gove, and Manveen Rana. The title of this year's Symposium is "Global Political Risk: Now what?" It promises to be insightful and will provide up to the minute commentary on current world affairs.
Supporters are encouraged to bring either a corporate team (2-4 team members), or come on your own and we will team you up with other like-minded challengers.
It's not too late to join the Challenge, so please do contact johnny@supportingwoundedveterans.com if you are interested in hearing more about it.
