Get Support

If you've served and are facing physical, psychological or practical challenges, SWV is here to help.

Am I eligible?

If you are a veteran living with a physical or mental health condition attributable to your service, please get in touch. We recognise that everyone's circumstances are different, and we'll talk with you about whether and how SWV may be able to support you.

What happens next?

We'll start with a conversation with you, assess where you are now and what you would like to change. From there, we can explore the support that may be right for you and help build a pathway towards greater independence and, where appropriate, occupation, training or employment.

Is this confidential?

Yes. We understand that asking for support can be difficult, and the information you share with us will be treated sensitively and confidentially, subject to our safeguarding and legal responsibilities.

Will someone call me?

Yes. Once you've contacted us, a member of the SWV team will get in touch to talk through what might happen next.

Can my family refer me?

If you're concerned about a veteran, please contact us. We can listen and explain what support may be available, although the veteran will need to be involved before we can take their support forward.

How long does support last?

SWV takes a tailored, long-term approach because recovery doesn't follow a timetable. We stay alongside veterans as their needs change, helping them build confidence, independence and a path forward. It is this sustained, individual support that helps create lasting change, with 90% of the veterans we support progressing into occupation, training or employment.

The rehabilitation journey

Every veteran’s journey is different. We take the time to understand where you are, what you need and where you want to go. From your first conversation with SWV, we build support around you—bringing together rehabilitation, specialist programmes, mentoring and practical help towards occupation, training or employment.
