SWV Rivers' Forum 2025

14 May 2025

The SWV Rivers’ Forum continues to play a vital role in the national effort to tackle pollution in our rivers while expanding its mission to support wounded, injured, and sick veterans through meaningful employment in river restoration and conservation work.

This year’s forum not only brought together NGOs, policymakers, the water industry and others to discuss the health of our waterways, but also highlighted the launch of the Veterans' River Task Force which will shortly begin work on the River Dart.

We were delighted to receive a personal message of support from His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, who formally opened the event with words of encouragement and recognition for the vital work being done. His message underscored the importance of collaborative action and praised the forum's dual commitment to environmental stewardship and veteran support.

As pollution continues to threaten river ecosystems across the UK, the SWV Rivers’ Forum, through Collaboration, Communication and Coordination, is working to find innovative solutions to some of the most urgent environmental and social issues of our time.
