However you choose to do it, fundraising for SWV helps us deliver the support that takes veterans from rehabilitation to independence. It doesn't need to look like anyone else's fundraiser — some of our favourites have been the ones nobody saw coming.

Get creative

We've had supporters take on ultra marathons in some of the most extreme places on earth — from the jungles of Peru to the steppe of Uzbekistan — while others found their adventure much closer to home, walking or running the distance of several marathons without ever leaving the UK. We've had escape and evasion evenings that turned a fundraiser into an adventure in itself. And in one of our favourites, a buddy took on his ballet exams to raise sponsorship with the certificate presented by Darcy Bussell. Whatever you want to do, there's almost certainly a way to make it work for SWV.

Prefer something lower-key?

Not everyone wants to take on a physical challenge, and that's fine — some of our most successful fundraisers have been an evening of theatre, a talk, or a  quiz night with friends. Small and sociable raises money just as well as big and strenuous.

Take on an organised challenge

If you'd rather join something already set up for you, we've teamed up with Run for Charity, giving you a choice of 900+ events — running, cycling, walking, swimming, tough mudders and more, solo or in a group, across the UK and abroad. Choose an event, pay the registration fee, and you'll be linked straight to an SWV JustGiving page. There's no minimum amount to raise — whatever you bring in makes a real difference.
