Where are you from:
Two Truths One Lie:
I have cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End, I love dogs and own 3 of them, I make my own sausages and burgers from unwanted game birds
What Would you like to get out of the Ski Week:
I hope to experience seeing the joy that an individual gets from achieving he might no have previously thought possible
At the age of 17 I (foolishly) had no interest in going to University, so in 1978 I joined the Army, specifically The Royal Green Jackets. Serving in NI, the US, Germany and the UK, I left after 4.5 years having made some lifelong friends and joined a firm of stockbrokers in London as an institutional equity salesman. This was great fun in the early 1980s, but not a career that I particularly wanted to pursue into my 40s. I was headhunted in 1993 to join an executive search firm in the City specialising in financial services - an occupation I continued with for the next 22 years and during which time I worked for 6 years in Hong Kong (95 - 01). Whilst in Hong Kong I rarely returned to Europe, preferring to spend my time exploring South East Asia, or making the odd ski trip to the US or Canada.
I Retired from income-generating work in 2014 and subsequently co-run a corporate off-site venue, which also catered for weddings and the odd charity drinks party.
As for my fund raising, I have used my extensive network of contacts and continue to send out update emails, still hoping to entice those who have not yet contributed to this great cause..
As for me, I am more of an outdoors type and love tennis, skiing, walking and hiking in the mountains. I also used to do a fair bit of flying light aircraft, undertaking some notable trips - but not for the last few years. I am married to Philippa, with whom I have a 16 year old daughter. I also have 4 step children aged 27 to 31 - who thankfully all like me....I think!
A little about myself.
