SWV Launches the Rivers' Forum

Supporting Wounded Veterans is next week to host its first Rivers’ Forum. This will bring together change-makers, not for profits, government bodies, philanthropists, tech companies, universities and more to discuss the challenges our rivers face, and find potential solutions.

The Forum will be chaired by former Foreign Secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind. Each attendee has nominated their three most pressing concerns to form the basis of discussions from which to develop actionable next steps.

“We believe this to be the first time a non-vested organisation has brought so many groups together to work collaboratively,” says Sir Malcolm. “Our hope is to help develop solutions to the crises facing our rivers by bringing different parties together for two days to explore challenges and answers.

“We also hope that our network of veterans may be helpful in some of the work that will follow.”
