SWV Carol Concert 2021
7 December 2021
Join us on Tuesday 7 December 2021 at St Columba's in London
We are pleased to announce that our fifth annual Christmas Carol Concert will be taking place on Tuesday 7 December this year, at St Columba’s Church, Pont Street, London.
Please add the date to your diaries, and watch this space for ticketing information, which will follow shortly.
So many of you watched our filmed concert at home last year, for which we are so grateful, and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did creating it. This year however, we are so excited to be able to invite everyone back to the church in person. As in previous years, the Concert will also be followed by a drinks reception, a very special raffle, and an online auction.
Performers who will be supporting us this year include HRH Princess Eugenie of York, General Sir Nick Carter, Haydn Gwynne, Harry Herbert, Mishal Husain, Michael Morpurgo, and the choir and musicians from The Royal College of Music.
It promises to be an evening of great festive celebration!
If Covid rules scupper our plans for a live concert, we have a fabulous plan B much like last year, where we will be streaming a concert online on 7 December for you to enjoy at home.
So, either way – SAVE THE DATE!
If you would like to donate an auction or raffle prize, or would like to volunteer at the event itself, please contact Polly Hipkins on firstname.lastname@example.org
“We have just been to heaven for an hour! What a lovely, moving and life enhancing concert.”
Thank you from our 2020 Carol Concert Committee
We are SO delighted with how many of you joined us for our virtual carol concert. At last count, over 750 families and friends have enjoyed our wonderful cast of singers, readers, veterans and soloists. We have received so many lovely comments matched by equally lovely (and generous) donations and we cannot thank you enough!
We could not have created our evening without the brilliant GL Productions team, led by Gerry Lewis, who donated their time and skills to SWV for free! It is this kind of generosity that captures the spirit of all our supporters and we cannot thank you enough. Our aim is always to make sure that as much of your money as possible goes directly to our veterans and our rehabilitation programmes, which is why everyone who donates their time, energy and effort is so incredibly important to us in achieving this goal.
