Great news. One of our talented veterans Chris Ganley has been named the Bristol Post Sports Personality of the Year, as well as their Disabled Sports Performer of the Year.

Chris lost his left arm, broke his spine in three places, sustained severe nerve damage, broken ribs, a popped lung and had a bleed on the brain.

Despite this traumatic experience, the former rifleman in the military has continued to pursue his passion for motorsports.

He now competes on his specially-adapted Yamaha bike, reaching speeds of more than 160mph, and aims to become the first one-armed motorcyclist to compete at the infamous Isle of Man TT. He also competes monthly at the Thundersport GB championship against able-bodied riders, where he has achieved several good finishes.
